Energetic Critters With a Calling for Trouble
Even as a smaller breed of dog, dachshund require a very active lifestyle to stay fit and healthy. In order to keep them in shape, at least two
walks a day are necessary. This amount of exercise helps keep their muscles strong, especially their backs which are most prone to injury.
Dachshunds are also very loyal to their families, barking up a fit at anyone who dares get too close to them.
Depending on their coat, dachshunds may need to be brushed daily or may not need it at all. A health diet can help keep their coats looking
healthy and prevent future back and joint issues which are common in this breed. Though they may seem like high maintenance, they are still
lovable creatures to be around. Dachshunds generally do better with older children since they have a tendency to be snippy if rubbed the wrong
way.
