Heavenly Officials

In TGCF, there are quite a few heavenly officials with different jobs, strengths, and weaknesses. However, these are some of the main ones I took interest in.

xie lian

Xie Lian ‐ 谢怜

"thank/wilt", "sympathy/love"

Heavenly Title:  Xianle, "Heaven's Delight"

Four Famous Tales Title:  The Prince Who Pleased God

Other Titles: Flower Crown Martial God, General Hua, Fangxin

Xie Lian was the crowned prince of the now fallen kingdom of Xianle. He is a powerful martial god, but he has 3 cursed shackles that restrict his spiritual power. He has notoriously bad luck and is an equally bad cook, but Hua Cheng seems to think his food is good. He likes to collect and sell scraps, which gave him the nickname"Scrap Immortal". He is married to Hua Cheng and is Qi Rong's cousin.

feng xin

Feng Xin ‐ 风信

"wind", "trust/faith"

Heavenly Title:  Nan Yang, "Southern Sun"

Other Titles:  Nan Feng

Feng Xin is the Martial God of the Southeast. He has a short fuse and foul mouth especially with long standing enemy, Mu Qing. However, he is known to be a loyal, hardworking god. He has a long and complicated history with Xie Lian. Feng Xin used to work as Xie Lian's bodyguard and was a close friend until certain circumstances drove them apart.

Nan Feng: A junior official from the Palace of Nan Yang. He is constantly arguing with his enemy, Fu Yao, has a short temper, and swears a lot. He and Fu Yao helped Xie Lian on his first mission as a thrice-ascended god.

Quote: "WHAT A MESS YOU'VE MADE OF THINGS. DON'T YOU KNOW I WAS LOOKING FOR THEM? IF YOU DIDN'T KNOCK ME OUT, MAYBE I WOULD'VE FOUND THEM!"

mu qing

Mu Qing ‐ 慕情

"yearning", "affection"

Heavenly Title: Xuan Zhen, "Enigmatic Truth"

Other Titles: Fu Yao

Mu Qing is the Martial God of the Southwest. He has a short fuse and sharp tongue especially when it comes to his long standing enemy, Feng Xin. He is known for being cold, spiteful, and petty. He has a long, complicated history with Xie Lian. He was Xie Lian's personal servant and was a close friend until certain circumstances drove them apart.

Fu Yao: A junior official from the Palace of Xuan Zhen. He is constantly arguing with his enemy, Nan Feng. He is cold, quick to judge, and even quicker to roll his eyes. Followers of General Mu Qing tend to not get along with followers of General Feng Xin, and Fu Yao is a proud follower of this trend.

Quote: Just so we're clear, I will not pull that thing up the mountain.

jun wu

Jun Wu ‐ 君吾

"lord", "i"

Heavenly Title: Shenwu, "Divine Might"

The Emperor of Heaven and strongest of the gods. He is composed and serene. It is through his power and wisdom that the Heavens reamin aloft, literally. Although the Heavens are full of schemers adn gossipmongers, Jun Wu stands apart from such petty squabbles and is willing to listen to even the lowliest creatures to hear their pleas for justice...or so we think. He is very affectionate of Xie Lian and often refers to him as Xianle instead of Xie Lian.

Quote: That pair of eyes were obsidian black but bright and clear, as if formed by the melted snow of a lake frozen for millions of years.
