1917 (2019), directed by Sam Mendes, is a British war film based on Mendes' grandfather's stories of WW1. The movie follows a young British soldier who enlists into the British forces with his brother, only to be separated by him in battle. He then heads off to find his brother. The film is unique for it's filming style, where there are no visible cuts throughout. Instead, the viewer just sees one long, continous shot for the entire film.
